Environmental Services

EcoTec Construction Limited provides design-build services through the expertise of both EcoTec Environmental Consultants Inc. and EcoTec construction Ltd. By working closely with the project proponent and/or prime Contractor, EcoTec helps ensure that construction assignments meet all relevant provincial and federal environmental legislative requirements.

EcoTec staff act as a liaison between the prime Contractor and project proponent or regulatory agency in order to ensure that environmental procedures are being followed during a project and that the prime Contractor is exercising environmental due diligence. Our staff have provided environmental inspection services on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Ontario Ministry of Transportation, various regional municipalities and prime Contractors.

Our environmental construction administration services include:

• Attaining necessary permits and approvals from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry of Environment, and Conservation Authorities
• Developing Contractor environmental control plans
• Providing environmental inspection and/or supervision during construction
• Assisting in the development of operational constraints and environmental protection measures
• Removing fish and/or wildlife from a work area
